About Brad Furman

I enthusiastically embrace digital technology and I especially love the great versatility that the combination of the digital camera and Photoshop allow. Using a variety of tools and techniques on both the camera and the computer, I can refine and emphasize the important details of my subject. With the camera, I try to capture the detail, the careful moment in which I experienced the subject. With the computer, I can present the subject in its best possible light.

I try not specialize in any specific area and anything is fair game: plants, flowers, landscapes, birds, insects, animals or people. The natural world as well as the studio are where the action can take place.

The images shown on this website are all distilled from random moments that catch my eye and my intent is to reduce and simply an often complicated and chaotic world. Compostions are from a variety of very different sources and I carefully work the pieces together until they fit. Landscapes and panoramas are ofen assembled from as few as three and as many as 35 images shot in succession to render a more inclusive view of a given scene.

No matter the method, no matter the subject, my primary goal is to let the image speak for itself. The intimate beauty of the world pleases me, awes me and provides me with inspiration and hope. For me, the images are reminders of beauty and what is so often overlooked. What I really like is simply wandering the world trying to spot those special, random moments where ever and whatever they may be.

I hope you enjoy these images and if you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.
